Strain Review: Cookies by ButterBrand
By: 🍍 Adam Floyd - 02.16.18
Anyone who knows anything about me, knows that I love indica. There’s something special about ending each day with a puff of sleepy-time weed. One of my cherished strains of the moment is Cookies by ButterBrand. While you can pick up this bud from a number of Bay Area dispensaries, I usually order it from Eaze, a cannabis delivery company.
The nugs are tight, but not too tight. There is a light, soft cheese smell to the buds. But it’s mellow enough that you won’t mistake it for a sativa. Although the flavor is closer to a mild citrus or maybe even pine. According to ButterBrand, Cookies is a Thin Mint phenotype. A hybrid compromise of OG Kush and Durban Poison.
The high is the real attraction though. Within seconds of inhalation, one feels a full-body relaxation. Perfect for relieving the stresses of a long day. The headspace is mildly stimulating, making it ideal for a late night toke. You can watch a little TV, read a book, have a cup of tea… Whatever you do to unwind. Within 20-30 minutes, the sleepiness comes and you are ready for bed. Not too shabby, if you ask me.
I’d highly recommend Cookies for tokers just looking to unwind. For more strain reviews, cannabis news and all your favorite tunes, subscribe to Kusheen. Our music and culture magazine is available for delivery for just $13!
